my name is cliff..from colorado, just purchased ar10T yesterday. all my shooting has been with a wilson combat 6.8 recon for the past year. got the bug for a 308 and today i'm off to the range with this AR10T. got it home last night and realized. I really need a bipod..
Hello groups, my name is Grant. I'm reside outside of Houston, Texas. I'm new to the Black Rifle club, but definitely not new to the .308win. I recently purchased the rifle I always wanted, the Armalite
AR-10NM. If your gonna go, go big right? Anyways, I've already been out to the range to perform my initial break in following proper break-in specs. I put about 30rds thru it using Win. 145gr. I will tell you I could not get that damn smile off my face. After I hit 200rds I will switch to a premium match ammo. I am hopeful it will love my Hornady Tap 168gr ammo as much as my custom 700 does because I have a lot of it. I look forward to everyone's advice and input, an maybe I'll catch ya down range.
Hello
I had some time to kill one afternoon and found my self at the local gun shop. Sound familiar? I was talking with the guy behind the counter when I spied what looked like a super sizer AR-15. I asked him if my eyes were playing tricks on me. He assured me they were not and produced a AR-10A4 carbine.
Can you say love at first sight? So I am now officially in heat for a 7.62mm AR platform. What manufacturer would you recommend? Duh, Armalite of course. Seriously why would I want to buy any of the other manufactures product vs an Armalite product? I'm sure this has been discussed before. Can someone direct my to a topic so I can read up?
I look forward to chatting with you all, and learning about this exciting big bore AR rifle.
Welcome to the site Bryan, and I would say you are in the right place to learn all the the AR-10. I have the AR-10A4 and love it. I have learn a lot by just clicking around this site and asking questions, Also visit the Armalite main site.
A lot has to do with what do you want out of your AR-10, what kind of shooting are you gooing to do?

I wish somebody around here would stock Armalite! The excuse I heard, over and over, was "We can't get them". One dude at a popular gun shop said Armalites were back-ordered for 6 months, but they could get DPMS. That was my first clue that I was onto something desirable .
I handled one Armalite AR-10 at a gunshow (over priced!), and knew I had to have one (its only competitor was the FN SCAR 17 for a little over twice the price).
So, after much'o research, I got a 10A4BF from Bud's. I like it so much I got a 10BNMF too!
Bryan, Welcome to the forum. I am very happy with my Armalite AR-10TNBF. I must say I am very happy with Armalite's quality. I am new to the AR-10 game, but I would certainly say the LaRue Tactical rifles would be taking a hard look at as well. Like anything in life it all depends on your budget and what you are going to be using it for. Mine is for hunting and I know this weapon will serve me well.
hey my name is matt and i am looking to buy an ar platform in 308 mainly for hunting. does any one have any advice on what i should get.armalite, bushmaster, remington , not sure which is better.
Matt, Armalite!! AR-10 is a Armalite trademark. I have 6 AR-10's from Armalite. I have handled a few DPMS, Larue, RRA. Nothing wrong with those but Armalite is a very good platform. Larue is basicly the same as armalite but more money. They use the same platform as Armalite but they tighten up the tollerances and make it a percision weapon. But from my point of veiw the Armalite is just fine without any upgrades, however you can upgrade all you want on any of them. Just a matter of how much $$$ you want to spend. My advise is go with a mid priced Armalite model first to be sure you will like it. You are going to spend over $1000 for a good one. $1400 to $1800 depending what you go with.
