Hello all. My name is Scott and I am new to this forum. I am considering purchasing an AR10 and I am looking for advice from people who have owned one. I am thinking that I want a 20" barrel as it will be used for long distance target shooting as well as hunting. East coast deer.
Hello all from Georgia, just picked up my first new rifle, an Armalite AR10(T) 16". Looking forward to the break-in and then some range fun.. GA porkers beware once I get comfortable (and make a decision on optics)!
Hello from Alaska. I just scored an AR-10 carbine by Armalite last week and am looking forward to using this forum to seek inspiration on what can be done to my mew addition. Right now I have a Trijicon Tripower sight on there until hunting season opens, a magpul precision stock, and a rubber ergonomic pistol grip. My next upgrades will be a recoil eliminator/compensator, and buffer.
Hello ya'll. My name is Craig, I live in Texas between Houston and Galveston. I just joined the forum today. I am the proud owner of an Armalite AR-10 SuperS.A.S.S. I Have only shot 20 rounds so far during the barrel break-in, but I do love it so far.
Welcome aboard Greg from down Corpus. Yes that rifle is more than making that claim as long as you can shoot it. Mine has put five in the area size of a nickel at 200. (I was not the one doing the shooting) it it sure will do it. Have a great time with and go kill some hogs.
It claims MOA of 1, can anyone confirm? Has 1:11.25 twist- recommended ammo for best perfomance?

My basic flat top will do it all day long with most ammo I throw at it. Mine actually gives me better groups with NATO surplus near 150 gr. than it does with either 168 or 175 match grade ammo. Odds are some handloading would solve the issue for the heavier bullets but I'm fine with 1 moa and cheaper ammo for now. The sweet part of owning an Armalite is if your rifle wont do 1 moa at any time you own it they will fix it free providing you do your part!
Keep an eye on the burris mount, mine pops open on recoil after a couple hundred rounds, a simple tension adjustment got me back on track without a problem but it took a couple fliers before I figured out what was going on. I think the metal stretches a bit with use.
Enjoy, your gonna love it!
I planned to lap the mount rings, do you think that will help? I just got a fedex notice that it would be here Thursday and my scope and mount Friday. I can't wait.
