Hello to all from Nutz260. I'm just a simple gun nut from childhood. Just in the process of building my first AR. Going to be a .260 to start and going to buy a .308 upper later. I live in South Central OK and enjoy all the area has to offer, hunting wise. Any help from someone with experience in a .260 caliber would be welcome. Waiting on my Mega upper/lower to come in now.
Howdy Nutz,
Thanks for the post on scope slipping.
Good to know I'm not the only one.
I'm hoping some blue loctite and a little sanding
On the caps will solve my problem.
Good to have you on the forums sir.
I am a soon to be owner of a Armalite AR-10T Varmint. I have been looking at this one everyday for a week at my local gun shop. I have it in layaway right now. After collecting M1 Garands, M1A's, and Ar-15's it was time to step up.
So looking forward to shooting this beast!
Welcome to the site and hope you find what your looking for here! let us know when you get her out of hock and how she shoots! what's the caliber .308?
With hurricane Sandy and all of the other entertaining weather and seismic events occurring around the country and planet, we are pleased to be located in the Tucson, Arizona, area! That's the good news.
A couple of months ago, the Eagle Arms AR-10 in the family got sold. This is the first gun we have regretted selling. That's the bad news.
Being and "old guy" who mostly shoots a few 1911's and prefers to ride a mountain bike to our nearby Pima Pistol Club range, the AR-10 didn't get much shooting time. But, I still miss it.
If possible, it would be fun to replace the original carbine that featured a fixed carry handle with a flat top . . . with a floating barrel. Yeah, that would be cool.
Edited to add . . . Oh, and I tried to upload a small gif file with a transparent background as my forum picture. But, no joy?!

Look at it in a positive way, now's the perfect time to upgrade to the ArmAlite AR-10

here you go this will help make the decision :woohoo:
Website is going through some transition as we are all having trouble with uploads at this time please please try again in a couple
Those 1911's Colts? Might be heading your way in March for Softball but, hint hint, I'd rather be at the range
Yeah, I'm thinking an Armalite AR-10(T) 308 win 10TBNF would be nice. When the time comes, I may look for a 16" barrel version, but this would do fine. I already have the magazines and ammo . . .

 Well, I'm either a poor man or a cheap S.O.B. . . . or maybe both. One older Dan Wesson CBOB, bought used before the prices took off, and a couple of Kimbers, also bought used on our excellent local gun board, to round out the size selections. In the Tucson region, the
Pima Pistol Club range
rocks.
Yea I'm a COSOB  I'll check out the range any check in latter with ya I have the flat top carbine, should be some pix somewhere on the site if you take a look around they do have a little more weight the 10 vs 15, but what did the one smart ass Sargent say "When I want to carry a BB gun I'll ask for one."
