Hi, First time poster but have been lurking for a while. Thought I might as well dive in and introduce myself. I just bought a Bushmaster BR 308 ORC and just installed the Troy industries TRX Extreme 13.8" battle rail on it with the squid grips. I like it. Looking further to upgrade this rifle and use it for recreational shooting and hunting. I'm fairly new to the AR world so please excuse my dumb questions or uneducated comments. I enjoy reading all the information and insight this site has to offer. Have also enjoyed all the pics on Facebook. Just wish there was a little detail on all the cool stuff on each rifle. It gives a guy a lot of ideas! Thanks!
There are some very good guys on here and a lot of information to absorb. Take your time, do as much reading and searching as you can and don't be afraid to post questions or just share info and/or pics.
Howdy, all. I'm anxiously awaiting my AR10A4BF, scheduled to arrive at my local FFL Friday. I've been planning this purchase for some time, got a 308 bolt gun last year so I could develop good 308 loads. A few months ago I got a Magpul 308 magazine, so I'd have one to fool with until I could throw down for the rifle in two or three years. Yep, that was the plan... an then we had a little thing called 'the election'. After due consideration, I got out my credit card and made it happen RIGHT NOW, while you still CAN buy such a thing! :censored: :banghead:
I have 4 AR15's, two I built from parts, one from a kit (ASA), and a Carbon 15 by POI that was sold as a running weapon, but turned out to be more of a kit... it's a runner now, but there are a lot of standard AR parts in there.
I was VERY pleased to find this forum, and even more so when you look at the contents; most AR forums (and a lot of other weapon forums) are filled with "My XYZ doesn't work, how do you make it go?" posts. Looks like the AR10 is a reliable platform. Very cool indeed!
Looking forward to hanging out with you guys sometimes. Will report back when the thing arrives, after I run a few rounds through it and calm back down.
I'd say you have made a great choice of weapon and have come to the right place Mr. Moto (sorry, had to throw that in there ).
Darn glad to see good men buying great weapons and coming in to join us.
