My Name is Chris, I have been building AR-15s for about 5 years and started building AR-10s about a year ago after I bought a AR-10T before the mad rush on semi-autos. I currently am building two dpms type rifles based on SI Defense upper/lower sets one in .260 and one in .243. I recently harvested a deer in Colorado with my AR-10T .308 at around 425 yards with two quick shots to the heart about 1 inch apart. I am currently purchasing a Midwest industries SS hand guard in 15in to replace the heavy factory one.
Gud eatin, gud shootin, gud compny, welcome to the forum Chris.
Would also like to hear more about Your builds, a couple of pics. wood be nice too. :busted:
Old new guy reporting in. I'll be getting my AR10 in a couple of weeks when Jim comes down from Rigby. Generally my taste runs to bolt action milsurps, but it seemed counterproductive not to join the latter half of the twentieth century.Have 3 1/2 6.5 Grendel, and 1 1/2 5.56 M4's (TNW quick change piston setup).
Other hobbys are flyfishing , bowhunting , handloading, and (maybe) metal detecting.I'm a retired miner and a past participant in the South East Asia Survivor Game. :usa:
