Welcome LB , I like your choice in weapons LAR-8 varmint. I have been learning about mine over the last year. You will find a lot of posts about that particular rifle here in the index. As to the range question, the cheapest quickest moving target is a remote control truck driven by one of my kids with balloon in tow. I have done this many times. Also have spent a lot of time and money building my own system with cables pulleys and was never happy with the results and in the end abandoned it after spending about 300.00. As to the coyotes I look forward to your posts. I just set out range flags this afternoon out to 1000m on a section of lake Huron shoreline where I will be hunting this winter.
LB I have the 26 and have not regretted it. Its heavy but that's no problem with long shots you can always see the wake of the bullet and then the impact. When I shoot it inside buildings I just have to watch the front end but it works. When I shoot from vehicles you can get the end of the barrel out the window and that helps tame the muzzle blast. I am really getting in to looong range shooting so I really need that extra velocity. Lately I have been wondering where its going to end up. I will probably go to a bolt rifle in 416 Barrett at some point.
