In fact, I see a LOT of new members but very few saying hello so here is an official invitation to say hello guys and gals.

Here on AR10t, we like to pride ourselves in the fact that we are NOT a bunch of know-it-alls that laugh at people asking "beginner" type questions.

We've got some great shooters on here and with knowledge on the range AND in the field - some with knowledge knockin around in there heads that I'm sure is just DYING to get out since I would personally HATE having to carry it all around like they do... :laugh:

Hello all, my name is Jay and I am looking to get an AR10 and didn't wanna go into blindly.
The gentleman who I am buying from asked, Armalite or DPMS...I'll search the forum as I am sure there are many opinions on this topic. :sharkey:

Welcome Jay. This is a good place to come to for information.
As to AR10 or DPMS, you will get a lot of opinions. I have an Armalite and have never shot a DPMS and I really like my Armalite. Ask Lizardette, she has a DPMS and has posted some really nice groups. Dabu and Libertarian are partial to Rock River LAR-8's. Colt loves his AR SASS. Cowboy his AR 10 T. My advice: Shoot both before you make a decision..

I've been nothing but impressed with my Armalite. They all make some good guns but for the money the Armalite had what I was looking for right out of the box. make sure you compare apples to apples when you look at them, Armalite has a lot of standard features others charge extra for. I'll also add the customer service at Armalite would be hard to beat, lifetime guarantee!

Yeah C.P; welcome to the forum.
Has Yuhrself a look around, if You do`n findit, juz ask, someone`ll know.
Might even be some folks in Your area that`d be willing to let You fore some rounds through their rifles, sort a give Yuh that hands on kind of a feeeelin. :welcome:

As far as doing your research goes, you have come to the right place and since this is "The Big Bang AR" club, you'll be in good company.

Lot's of great information here and although we are high on information, we are low on "know-it-alls" with some great people who'll answer your questions respectfully even if you think they may be "beginner questions" so don't worry about a thing. We are all friends here and always happy to help.

Good luck with your research. I have an Armalite myself and wouldn't trade if for any other brand. Going to be getting an Armalite M15 (in 7.62x39) for my wife after the first of the year and I only buy her the best stuff I can find if that means anything to ya...

First off, thanks for all the nice welcoming comments.
I was already leaning towards the Armalite AR10 as is, and after seeing some pics and hearing everyone talking it up, I think I am already sold.
Look forward to getting to know the community.
