Glad to have you aboard Macky and WELCOME>>> :welcome:
Nice rifle and I'm just know you are going to love it. These things are just the balls.
As for the "Lifetime Member" thing, with the situation for ammo, parts and deals in the country right now, we can't guarantee GREAT deals right now for ammo or anything but whenever guys post links for ammo or reloading supplies, we always put em in there so we can keep the goodies in the family.
Feel free to check everything out and ask whatever you may not find in the different sections.
We're always happy to help and glad to see another member in the home of "The Big Bang ARs"
I went thru the Camp Lejuene field medical program during the summer of 69 and waited for my opportunity to be mistaken for a Marine while in the navy which I see you have done. Worked a psych/brig evaluate unit waiting to go overseas in December 69. Found myself unfit for sea duty from a gift from one of the Brig/drug guys. Got sent to Bethesda to train in Pysch and finished at Great Lakes 5 north.
Did FMF on west coast Camp Del Mar and Pendelton before being transferred to Portsmouth Naval Hospital in the old hospital in the Neurology outpatient clinic. Psych Outpatient was "next door". C school in Oakland (Preventive Medicine) and spent four years at Whidbey Island Naval Hospital and eventually back to the Marines at 29 Palms.
Only one of two Corpsman at the hospital to go Marine reg but it did make life easier with the senior non-coms. Confused the heck out of the E1 - 3's.
Preparing to buy my first AR-10 or clone. Having a bit of difficulty finding them in stock anywhere.
I already have a Springfield M1A, but these old eyes just can't adjust to the iron sites at any respectable distance. And we all know the difficulty with scoping that monster. My son will kill me if I sell it to buy an AR, but my "new" CMP Garand should scratch that itch for him.
Looking hard at the "new" S&W M&P-10, as well as the Bushie ORC 308. I need a fairly light rifle, so these seem to be the best options at present.....and the price is right.
So, I'll be pulling the trigger on a purchase next week......been lusting after them long enough.
I already own a M&P AR-15, which I love, so I'm leaning in that direction. Don't much care for the whole Cerberus thing, but would welcome any opinions from you learned gentlemen.
Anyway, glad to be aboard and look forward to meeting all you guys.

welcome aboard! Read the posts and you will get a lot of information about a lot of different 308 AR's. I have an AR10 A4 which I like a lot. Don't really know much about the new S and W's. look forward to hearing about yours if you go that direction.

Welcome. Yeah, the research aspect is a process in itself. I looked at several platforms and realized the ArmaLite was for me, and finally sent in the paperwork for ordering the 10T. It'll be a while but worth the wait...
Just got my dream weapon, Armalite AR10.
I have many questions. Looking forward to asking them.
I was told it is an "06 with 400 rnds. through it.
How do i confirm manufacture date with serial # ?
