:woohoo: I'm new and excited to learn from this forum.
Many thanks to Martin for creating this site and to the many moderators that help keep it going.
I recently bought an Armalite AR-10 after having been having fun for a couple of years with DPMS AR-15s.
I went with Armalite after having compared a DPMS .308 and an RRA LAR-8 Elite Operator.
Armalite was a better rifle in my own opinion.
I'll soon be building an extra upper for my rifle.
I hope to have everyones support in the form of suggestions and advise on how to do it right.

Regards to all,
Bob Downey

Hello everyone, Would like to thank Martin for his help getting my ID's straightened out.
But I'm here and good to go now.
Joined looking for all the info I could possibly find about the Armalite brand. I hope to soon on my first .308 an Armalite AR-10A4,
Should know in a day if I'll be getting it or not.
I've had a Colt Car-15 SP-1 for gosh over 30 years now. haven't put that many rds through it and looks like the day I bought it.
I also have a Daewoo DR-200 which is a damn nice shooter. Butt ugly but great shooter.
Most recent rifle purchase was the Colt Tactical 22. Also fun to shoot but haven't got it quite broken in or really found what its liking for ammo is so well it's hit or mis as to how reliable it is which after 300-400 is rather poor to say the least but it is what it is but the Remington Nylon 66 it isn't.
I've many other rifles and lots of pistols.
Also hold a CHL in the state of Texas.
Hope to read lots and learn more if the purchase of the .308 happens.
Thank all for having me,
Mike

Hello, another new guy... although I actually signed up over a year ago.

Mainly looking for information/ideas regarding this silly AR10T bought back in 2004 and never shot. Recently it has undergone a face lift and some upgrades and has had about 20 rounds through it. looking forward to getting it out shooting some further targets once the snow melts.

I have steered clear of online forums in the past as they seemed to be dominated by "experts" looking to be contrary, lets see how it goes! t-j

foxhunter wrote: I found your sight while researching for the best gunt to buy. Trying to decide between the Arma lite 10t and the super sass in 308. Anyone know if there is any difference in accuracy between the two? Do the extras on the sass make it worth going with it over the 10t?
Then I need to know the best variable scope for the price. I want to be able to go from close quarters to 600meters. Thoughts appreciated

The 10T has a 22" stainless bull barrel and a 2-stage trigger... the super SASS has a 20" heavy barrel that is threaded for a suppressor and a 2 stage trigger. Generally the longer and thicker the barrel, the more accurate for farther distances. As far as scopes are concerned, you want one with at least a 16x magnification, a 30mm tube, and a 50mm objective. It is also nice to have one with a rangefinder and bullet drop compensator. Also try to get one with less than 1/4 MOA adjustment if you can find one.

Hey everybody my name is Kim, I found this site while searching for upgrades for my LR-308. Anyway it seemed pretty cool so I joined B). I like to go target shooting and go to gun shows to see what else I can add to my collection. I have a DPMS LR-308, a Colt AR-15 Match H-Bar, Bushmaster AR-15, Remington 870 Tactical 12 ga, and a decent assortment of pistols which feature the likes of a CZ 75B and Beretta 96FS..;) I am glad I found these forums and hope to learn some stuff and help others when I can.

Howdy all from Sparta, TN, originally from Bemidji, MN. even though I first started this account back in fall of 09, I still consider myself a new comer to this site. I'm presently building myself an AR10, I bought myself an Armalite Stripped lower and just today ordered the parts kit w/2 stage tac. trigger. Ok I got a few questions for ya'll first will any other mags fit the Armalite lowers? Also just how good is the Armalite 2-stage trigger and just how does it work? I'm used to nice lite crisp triggers on all my bolt rifles, but the trigger on my AR15 isn't the best but is ok. Just to list a few of my toys :) Rem. 308 1000 yard sniper rifle, Ar15 Carbine 223, American Tac. AR15/22LR (Very good rifle), colt AR15/22 LR, ok but like the other one MUCH better, Marlin 4570 lever action hog rifle B) enough for now  . Any advise greatly appreciated on the Armalite parts that work best or after market parts that also work good, I'm wanting atleast an 18" barrel, but I see Armalite has a 20" that looks good. The AR10 I'm building will be used for hunting hogs or any thing else I get the hankering to hunt.
