Though I have not fired it yet, I am pleased with the ease of disassembly/reassembly. I certainly did get the lucky ticket with this pick, especially for what I paid, considering the previously unknown upgrades. I did check out the tech notes on the site today. There is a lot of info there, that's for sure. As far as the break in, 200 rounds? Really? Well, it says the initial 20-30 rds completes most of the break-in. But what must be done must be done, right? I have fired and cleaned many rifles, mostly bolts, but this is the first that I've gotten for myself. It certainly looks like a lot more fun than my ole Sears & Roebuck .22LR semi-auto! Hehehe
Hi Barry, we own a transmission shop in Houma. My brother runs it and I live below New Orleans. There are a couple of ranges around Houma but I dont think any of them have much distance. I shoot at the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff range and Camp Beauregard. Plaq sniper lane goes out to 300 and Camp B goes out to a 1000. Im looking forward to getting used to this system and play at a distance.
Hello all, new member here,
I have AR10 A4, older model (2007) No problems with the rifle, great gun, great accuracy. I currently have a new Armalite (308) bolt and charging handle that I am debating on what to build. I have a DPMS AP4 (308) that has also performed well. I just like the Armalite more even though the firearms, parts and magazines cost alittle more. I think I have an AR 50 laying around here someplace too.
Welcome to the site, nice collection....and nice to hear about another 50 guy....check out my videos on the AR-50 and see what you think...New Venture 2
Will look forward to your posts...
once again welcome...

Hello everyone. My name is Bobby.I've been an AR addict since 2003.I've built several AR's in 223,6.8,9mm,22lr,and 308.As far as the 308's go,I've owned two Armalite's,one SR25,and two Dpms's.I built the Armalite from parts and one of the Dpms was "reconfigured" several times. Now I want to build one,or two, that takes SR25 style mags and Armalite uppers.
Just joined today.I bought a used but like new Armalite AR-10A4 7.62x51mm, Sept.2 at local shop.It was made in Aug.2000 so it does not have the Fwd Bolt Assist,it has stainless barrel and a stainless muzzle brake or 2 port per side flashider.I plan on using it for deer hunting this fall in northern Michigan with a scope.I love it so far! Bob
Hello All, Have had my AR-10A4 for about a year. I am really happy with it. Added the Troy MRF FF rail and BUIS. Installing a Leupold Mark IV LRT scope this week. My step-son fired it last week and was so impressed he went out and bought an AR-10 SASS this past weekend. My other boy ordered a AR-10A4 carbine that he should be receiving shortly. Guess that makes us an AR-10 family!
