Appreciate the info guys and Uncle A, kind of coustomer service is making me glade that I bought the AR-10T!!

I am looking at a 338 federal upper. Do you think this would be a good long range (long range for me hunting would be 400 yards max) elk/moose/black bear gun?

I just showed your question to one of our gunsmiths. He smiled and said, "Perfect. 400 yards, easy."

Thanks Uncle Armalite, good to know....now going to have to get one soon. I just hope other ammo makers start making this round since I have not started reloading yet.

Hey Uncle A,
Armalite going to produce a .204 ruger? Would love to see one with a 24 inch barrel in the T version. That would look better on my Armalite lower then the Sabre Defense .204 upper I would have to buy as of now ;)

Brian, there are no plans I know of for a .204 ruger. If that changes I'll let everybody know.

Thanks for the info...keep up the good work.

Question, Do you use a different but plate (A-2 Stock)on the AR-10 A2 stock then you use on the M15 A2 stock. Reason I ask, the ar-10 has the nice rounded edges and it appears to me ( I do not own the M15 T YET) that the A2 stock on the M15 T is not rounded. I know they are interchangeable except for springs and buffers.
Thanks again for all the info.

Even though the buttstocks are the same, the buttplates are diferent.

The one from the AR-10 has the rounded edges to eliminate some dig and shoulder checkering when shooting.

You could use the one from the M-15, but it don't feel too good after 100 rounds or so.

That is what I thought, it is not about recoil (to me there is almost none form the ar-10 and especially a M15) it is about comfort and no sharp edges. I guess, I'll have to get the Ar-10 butt plate when I get my m15.

I guess Armalite wants to stick to Military Specs.
