Interesting statement by a two time Medal of Honor winner, and one of the most decorated Marines ever. It was too bad he was dogged by controversy for being tricked by unscrupulous people later in life. The man led an amazing life.

Smedley Butler, Audie Murphy, Chuck Yeager, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, the list goes on and on of great men that did great things only to have forces align against them in unscrupulous attempts to discredit and dishonor what they achieved.
