I'm sure whoever has checked out my profile has seen little "quotes" or sayings I've either picked up or come up with myself since I've been around.

What are some of your "favorite" quotes that tend to ring in your mind or just mean something to you?

I don't necessarily mean FAMOUS, just favorite.

I'd be very interested in seeing what many of you guys find interesting and that sort of "hangs with you" as you travel through life...

The ancient Chinese warrior Sun Tzu taught his men to "know your enemy" before going into battle. For if "you know your enemy and know yourself," he wrote, "you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." But, Sun Tzu warned, "If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat." :soapbox:
