thx brother !!! kinda the way I looked at it ,, more like the .308 family !!!!!
she is truly a SWEET shooter,, getting ready to play with some reloads real soon
My other toy for long range is a 25-06 built on a VZ action with a Shilen barrel , Timney trig set in a custom made stock,, my "reach out and touch someone" buddy,, still getting her dialed in also ,,
Never enough time !!!
No steps around here, just brothers from a different mother! Very sweet looking rig. What's your favorite load for it? Under 300 yards my AR-10 does just as well or better with regular NATO ball ammo. I only hunt steel or paper with mine, maybe a coyote once in awhile, so I haven't tried much for hunting bullets.
I had a 25-06 years ago, sweet round but I burned up the barrel pretty quick with hot loads. Sounds like your's should be a real tack driver. :usa:
just shooting lake city m80 ammo right now ,, only ran about 40 down the pipe before I had to put her away and head back over to Denver and work ,,, I'm in the process of gathering reload data now to form a baseline ,,
And ,,, O HELL YA !!!!!!!! ,, the .o6 has met all my expectations and more,
Built and broke in the barrel,,
Zeroed at 100 ,, (shooting Sierra 100gr speer point boat tail reloads )
moved to 200 and ran 10 shots to a 3/4 moa
moved to 500 and after a few dial in shots ( new scope too , lmao )
put 5 in a 1" group ( calm day , about 75 deg. prob around 20% hum. )
Was my pride and joy,, but a lil more range time with the SR and it might take it's place

I am wanting a .243 upper for Mine AR10, funds juz wo`nt allow it, for now anyhow, hoping one a them powerball tickets`ll pay off someday, they might, if I`d ever buy one. :banghead: :rotfl: :cowboy:
Ghost, might check the back posts for reloading data. Lebben B and quite a few others have put up some good data on their reload experience with .308. I found it very helpful in working up my loads for my AR10.

Guess I'm the red headed step child to the AR-10
My baby is an SR-25 with a Millet 4-16x50 illum mil dot and a Timney Gold Match Trigger set
whatcha think ,, and be easy on the step kid !!!! lmao
Don't worry about that Ghillie. Knights is good stuff, real good stuff IMO. BUT WOW their stuff seems very pricey at least at the MSRP side. That is about a MSRP of $4k+ depending upon which SR 25 mdl. I find that kinda of strong.
That said: 'good don't come cheap and cheap don't come good'
So here is my Armalite AR10, came with a 10 round and a 20 round clip.
I also ordered a Nikon buckmaster for like 200 bucks...I think it will be a good starter scope to learn the rifle better.
