I'm hoping to get my barrel ordered this week, a 16 inch, 516R, medium profile, target crown, and with a rifle length gas system;

x-caliber.net/main/xcal-page.asp?p=1

I still need to get a few details but these guys say they can make one for me without issue for about $240, a bit more if I decide on fluting.

Ordered the X-Caliber barrel this afternoon. Dealt with Rob, he told me it would be in production tomorrow morning and should ship before the end of the week. 308 Win., 416R bead blasted stainless, 16 inch medium contour, .750 at the gas block, rifle length gas system, 11 degree target crown, with a LR-308 pattern extension. Price with shipping was $245. They didn't know the source of the bolt they are using for headspace but said they have not heard back from anyone with headspace issues.
Another box checked in my first 308AR build, next up, BCG...........any suggestions let'em fly!

Decided on a BCG from d.wilson;

www.dwilsonmfg.com/store/p18/AR10_Bolt_carrier_Group.html

Good prices and a great reputation for quality.
Now the bank account will need a rest before I get a buffer from Slash HB and a stock.....then maybe a trigger, Cerakote, break, BUIS, optics
and I'm sure there are a few other goodies...........whew :blink:

That Wilson BCG looks as fine as they could come.
From reading the article, I would also say that, they are using some of the finest materials available out there today.
Thank You for showing Your build, from top to bottom.
