:ohmy: I didn't see it there either? That would make the recent introduction of the AR-31 a little silly since it uses B magazines. Thought I had enough mags but maybe a few more wouldn't hurt.........
the "B" wasn't discontinued the last time I looked...
BUT
What I did find out, since ArmaLite was bought out, the owners son, the works at a different location, likes the "A" series better cause that is what he owns and thinks that is the direction the company should go in.

I am guessing you are seeing a move towards industry standardization. Possible due to interest in military contracts as you have all those M110 magazines already in military inventory. And it is not cost efficient for a company to produce two lowers that are essentially the same rifle.
For the first time they are making the AR10 T in a "A" model. I am guessing they will wait until they sell out all their "B" models at regular price before announcing they are discontinuing them. That way they don't have to take a loss on current inventory.
