At any time during the course of your break-in, did you ever get the feeling that the process felt to have smoothed out and drag on the brush had reduced with no further reduction in drag?

Short answer, yes. I used Armalites recommended procedure on my M-15 TBN target barrel.It took fewer passes to get a clean patch as I went through the process. POI shifted as I went through the process. there is a picture and details in this thread;
Nice thread inputs.
Ironically, I'm chompin' at the bit to get to my break-in.
The scope mount wasn't in and I have to send the upper out for a rail alignment.
No harm, no foul. Gives me a few days to pick-n-choose some cleaning products and chemicals.
Found some Boeshield T-9...it's supposed to be a great CLP. Gonna use it for cleaning, storage and on moving parts that don't see fire...it leaves a wax film. Gotta see how it handles powder/carbon. If it doesn't do the job, I'll have uses for it elsewhere.
Still need to decide on a copper solvent and lube for hot parts.

Did not reallynotice a shift in point of impact, as I had a temporary scope on it while I was waiting for the one I had on order. As I only had it boresighted, the groups were less than spectacular. I can say it groups nice now. The attached target was one I shot when I was still dialing it in. You will notice it is a little high at 100 yards. (intentional). Later dialed it dead on for 200, but I can't find a picture of that target.
