The quad handguard is ever so slightly canted. I assume this can be corrected but how does one ensure the rails will align on the same plane when re-torquing the barrel nut? The quad rail has a pin that interfaces with the barrel nut so...wtf?!?
At a minimum, I might get lucky by just loosening/retightening the handguard lockring. The issue will definitely need to be addressed before iron sight work-outs.
Hopefully, I won't have to send it in. I've already waited decades for it and, one would think, what's another 4-6 weeks? Well, it's another 4-6 weeks, after I've had the opportunity to drool all over it.
*I'm not flippin' out about it...just think a little more diligence in Armalite's assembly process might be in order. They're gonna hear about it, among other things, when I ask how to ensure zero error in the rail alignments.
