As for parts...as long as The ArmaLite Plant is making them...I have no worries...
I still feel weird about Westrom Selling out...so to speak...but at least it wasn't to those JACKALS of Cerberus and The Freedom Group...
I knew he Had way to Much Class and Integrity

Ole Cowboy's post has all the info about the companies SAC has purchased, but I have been able to find scant information about SAC itself, except that it was formed around 2010 or 2011 by the ceo, Mark Johnson. It is an LLC, but no lists of officers of the corporation are available. It is private, so the financial solvency of the corporation, mission statement, goals, etc are all missing. No information exists that I can find on Mark Johnson, CEO.
So it seems we are just having to assume Mark Westrom made a wise business decision that guarantees the future success of Armalite under this new company, and hope for the best. Or... he got tired of the hassles of trying to run a business in Illinois, and took a wad of cash and is going to relax and enjoy it,come what may with the company. The notification that he will sit on a board, doesn't mean he will have any significant ability to steer the course of SAC, depending on how the board is set up. Which no one except Mark Johnson, Mark Westrom and the other owners who sold to SAC apparently knows.

I found the Same Info Brother. I am not sure myself what to think other than they are remaining this way as to not deal with the pressures of the On slot of Corporate buy out of the smaller Corps..
This has always been my Promo for ArmaLite being the One of the Leading "Independents"...in the AR Industry...and Holding Their Own..
As you said...we don't know what is going on behind the sense...I would like to think he made a Wise move...Time will Tell if the Honor and Integrity Of ArmaLite is Upheld...As for Mark W's Resolve as to the Board...well we will see...I hate to think he would pack it in and Retire to a small Island and leave his company behind...I would like to think...all I know is I own a "True" ArmaLite and am Proud to do so...if what comes is a Cluster F..k...well..then History Repeats itself...time again....I Truly hope he Keeps the on going Prestige and
Keeps up the ArmaLite Name....and Reputation...

To Mr.Raley...On this post it would be a Good Thing to Relay this to
Mark for a Statement From him Posted Via You....
To Assure us that ArmaLite will Continue to be a "History or Innovation" and Uphold the Quality it Has....
Just my Request Mind You...

48955 Moccasin Trail Road
Prague, OK 74864

Surgeon Rifles, Inc. manufactures various rifles, actions, and other accessories for the custom hunting and tactical rifle enthusiasts. Its accessories include butt plates, bi-pods, long action bottom metals, short action bottom metals, action wrenches, tactical bolt knobs, bolt knobs, and O-ring bolt knobs. The company also provides apparel, such as shirts, skull hats, and logo hats. Surgeon Rifles, Inc. was formerly known as Pritchett Machining and changed its name to Surgeon Rifles, Inc. in 2004. The company was founded in 2001 and is based in Prague, Oklahoma. As of August 19, 2011, Surgeon Rifles, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Strategic Armory Corps.

COMPANY: PRITCHETT MACHINING
INDUSTRY: JOB SHOP, DEFENSE
TECHNOLOGY: EDM WIRE

Oklahoma Job Shop Breaks into Precision Rifle Manufacturing

For a small job shop in central Oklahoma, tool and die work and prototyping are pretty common. But for Pritchett’s Machining, these types of jobs are only part of the equation. Preston Pritchett has found a successful niche for his company developing rifles and manufacturing them for the U.S. Military and Special Forces.pritchett-pic-1.jpg

Because business for job shops often fluctuates between busy and slow times, Preston is always looking for opportunities to bring in new business and a more consistent workflow. Manufacturing rifles has given the company a lot of new opportunities.

Finding a Niche

Although the company specializes in the development of rifle actions (the components of the rifle that are necessary to chamber and fire a projectile), Pritchett’s Machining assembles and supplies the total package.

“The action of a rifle is its most important component. It determines the overall accuracy and precision of the firearm,” explains Preston Pritchett, president of Pritchett’s Machining. “That’s why we focus so much on the details and development of this part of the rifle.”
pritchett-pic-2.jpg
For this reason, Pritchett’s relies on Mitsubishi EDM to develop the most sound and accurate action possible. In 2002, Pritchett’s became a Mitsubishi EDM customer after a test cut blew away the competition’s speed.

A Superior Design

“In addition to speed, the Mitsubishi FA20V’s 18-inch Z-axis was long enough to accommodate our long action part,” says Preston. This longer Z-axis allows Pritchett’s to develop a more rigid action by machining all of its components from one piece of material.

Unlike most designs, which combine separate components into one assembly, Pritchett’s has been developing a one-of-a-kind action that uses 3D machining to cut all components from one piece. Based on its performance and distance, this prototype has earned a great deal of interest from the U.S. Military.

The typical sniper rifle shoots one minute at 1,000 yards. Pritchett’s prototype nearly doubles that distance, shooting one minute at 1,760 yards. The new rifle gives a shooter a 50-percent chance of hitting the target. And, its design delivers the precision and distance the military requires.

“If things continue to go our way and the military decides to go with our new rifle design, we’ll be pretty busy,” explains Preston. “It’s good to know that Mitsubishi gives us the ability to handle new business as it comes our way.”

In this case I am just presenting facts as I find them, I do not know enough of the backstory to make a legit call.

Certainly I would wonder how can some company out in the middle of no where in Okla with 1 employee and making $76,000 buks in a year buy all these other companies and as was mentioned I can find nothing on the guy who is the CEO? Well that seems strange in that most folks who are running around with $millions buying and selling businesses leave a easy trail to follow.

Bottom line is I have no idea as info is sparse, very sparse in fact...

Given the limited data we have so far, I can't think of a single reason why any of these companies would have allowed themselves to be bought by Strategic Arms LLC. It looks to me like there is a story here that is not being told and an opportunity for some investigative reporting. I hope for his sake Westrom took cash instead of shares in SAC LLC. I don't have a warm and fuzzy freeling about this. I guess the bright side to a worse case scenario of there being no more Armalite (if this all goes south) is that their guns will become rare and valuable, and I have 4 of them.

Buddy of mine sold his company like that. I think he got $10,000 cash plus a VP position at around $300k + $300k bonus and of course a TON of stock as he sold the company for several million.

LOL, six months later, he was looking for a job, stock was worthless and the parent company filed for bankruptcy...
