We try to keep our best sellers in stock to please our customers. I post a lot on ArmaLite's Facebook page letting our customers know our stocking situation. I post to say a production run of something popular and hard to get is about to begin. I'll post about a rifle I know we have enough of to avoid lead times and long waits for customers. I also post when I know something's about to go OUT of stock. I DON'T like to hear that you've been waiting on that lower. What kind is it?

I put in an order with Ashby Arms llc of Harrisonburg VA for the L10PCB found here www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=L10P...0c-bc96-d7c6ca2b924a around June 11th and was told it would take a week by Dennis Golden, he was told that they are listed as out of stock but there was 3 on hand ready to ship and with 4 or so calls to Ashby Arms i just keep getting the response of sorry man they told me it will be here soon.

Had i knew it would take this long i would have ordered the individual parts and put it together myself as the parts seem to be readily available.

Just to let the site know, wait time to me matters in no way as long as the final product lives up to its name and hype. :)

Hawk45,
I think Sniper's Hide might be where I read about reduced barrel life of the 243, buut I couldn't find the exact thread.

Thanks Jer

Wes,
I have a 243 Savage 110 bought in about 1962 that has thousands of rounds through it shooting praire dogs, deer, etc. Never kept track of the number of rounds so I really don't know what has gone down that barrel. It used to be a sub-1/2 inch grouper, but all of a sudden it is now a 3/4 inch grouper. It is still doing a good job of taking deer, so for me it is still a great rifle. Just wanted you to make an informed decision.
Jer

Like my first post said man "all input welcome here", from all the input i got so far i can say that the 243 will be my first upper since the gun will be getting less use then my plinker's / fun gun's.

To top the cake i will be getting a 308 upper down the line and i know that two uppers will keep me from slinging lead out of the 243 at an unhealthy rate.:)

Hell yeah man, i like my killing rounds fast, hot and accurate.:)

This way of thinking has got me looking in to getting my boy a 17HMR, wish there was an Armalite upper for that to fit my lower. :woohoo:

i like em both equally but my 308t is to damn heavy to be luggin around all day for small game. i would use it for deer cuz you really dont move around to much, but for anything smaller it is 243 or 223. for a 243 i am probably gonna get an r25.

We have the L10PCB's in stock and ready to ship immediately. Your dealer might be ordering through a distributor and that distributor might be causing the delay. Ask him that. Tell your dealer he can order the L10PCB right off of our web site 24 hours a day, or he can call ArmaLite today at 800-336-0184. We answer the phones until 4:15pm Central Time, Monday thru Friday.

That's probably a good thing. I checked inventory this morning for you. We had 5 yesterday. We have 4 today.
