Thanks for the update. It looks like you are on the right track, although I really wish the hBN process would have applied to your gas gun. The process doesn't like stainless steel...whodda thunk it?
Read ALL 15 pages of the post the other night to see where you had started and what you were really trying to accomplish. I gleaned several goals: Accuracy and velocity seem to be at the head of the list.
I'm going to continue to work with my GAP AR-10 when I get up and about. For now I'm going to stick with standard uncoated bullets, but am going to try SMK 155 Palma's and 155 Lapua Scenars. Am going to do some development of my SMK 175 load and eventually work my way to the SMK 190's.
The rifle wants to shoot like my bolt guns with 175's. We'll see about the 155's and 190's.
The control rifle is my Obermeyer 1:10" twist 5R barreled M40A1.
Right now I need to get the knee working again and get over this darned cold/flu I've been fighting.
Your shooting shacks look like "fun". I shoot on outdoor ranges year round, but sometimes it's not fun. Up in your area it's a matter of self preservation, I imagine.
Zk, that is a really nice set up, and the landscape is breathtaking, where do you live?
I think I could retire with a view like that out my front window....

Z...he is a cute kid, looks like he really gets into the fishing, wait till he wants to start shooting....LOL
I have to say, I truly envy you with all that beautiful country to play in. Nothing like walking out your door and being able to shoot anywhere you like. Nice place.!!!!
I know this was off topic but a great human touch....
Again nice pic of the family....
