After waiting with much anticipation my
rifle arrive today. A flat top AR10 with a handle w/Barska Red Dot mounted on it, and a separate Bushnell 4X scope.

I got a couple 25 round mags, some 20 rounders and two ten round mags for three gun shooting. The sling that comes with it needs an upgrade once I learn a bit more about the platform and what my needs are.

I lube her up and can't wait to get some range time and zero this bad boy in.

The first thing I realized was the weight. You know you're holding a serious rifle. As I was lubing it up you notice how tight and perfectly alined the upper and lower fit. No slop. I noticed the two piece forgrip had some movement and was told this is normal. It's minimal.

I've got 500 rounds of FMJ from LuckyGunner.com and am looking forward to punching some holes and seeing what kind of grouping I can get.

I'll keep ya'll posted.

Good deal! Post some pics when you get it sorted out. By the way, I think you'll "outgrow" that Barska red dot quickly.

The Magpul plastic handguards look and feel better than the stock handguards and work well with your delta-ring. Magpul rails attach easily too.
You will need a cheap handguard removal tool or "sailor-mouth" is next

follow the Armalite procedure for barrel break-in..

many argue the importance of break-in but if the manufacturer wants it, that's proof enough for me. Besides, it can do no harm cleaning the bore correctly, just be certain not to damage the muzzle crown. That can be ruined by improper cleaning.
As a matter of fact, you would be better off NOT cleaning the bore if you don't do it correctly.
some things to remember:

Always engage the cleaning rod from the chamber, NEVER the muzzle.
try to keep the brush wet with cleaning fluid or thin oil.
Do not pull the brush back when it exits the muzzle, unscrew it.
avoid stainless brushes (too hard)
Always push a dry, clean patch through when finished cleaning
never use abrasive paste in your bore
bore-snakes are OK for field cleaning if you pull from chamber to muzzle
never fire corrosive or questionable ammo
keep the bolt & carrier lubed
never overheat the barrel

ENJOY YOUR PREMIUM AR10

THanks for the great info !
Will do the break in ver batum.

Can't wait to BLAST A PIG!!!!!

I saw a great night scope for getting the crop eaters this weekend.
The Pulsar N550 is actually a camera and LCD screen in a scope body.
I can record the hog kills and show the property owners. I'm really looking forward to free pork!!!!!

if your barrel is chrome you really don't need much of a break-in, maybe use a designated copper remover after 100rds

Sorry for the delay in pictures bro's. I also got a new camera and am just figuring out how to use it. It's got lot's of buttons.

This is my new flat top AR 10 (drum roll please) It's got a chrome lined 16" barrel and Bushnell 4X scope. The scope is lower end but surprisingly clear and bright. For a noob I think Gary Sansone took good care of me. Not knowing much about high powered rifles he could have easily talked me into to higher end stuff. He acually talked me out of buying things I didn't need. Anyway, here she is.

yes, low-end scope but 1.75x-4x with extended eye relief works well on AR platform weapons. The 6" eye relief allows you to plant that baby out forward of the charging handle. 4X aint much but it's a lot better than irons at 200yds

Well helped you with "real" choices...that says alot in my book...I have done the same for many who would mortgage the car to buy a scope that they really can't afford or need...so my Hats off to you sir..
Nice looking rifle...if you need any help with accessories...I have many vids on MI and ADM parts that are very affordable...given some of the alternatives out there...Again...Nice Rifle and To Sansone...Bravo...
Uh...one question though...why do you have an Ocular lens cover on the Objective lens...Just asking.
