Very good article indeed,I think I will be ordering one of those catchers in the near future{read, out of funtickets.LOL}It does look to be everything a person would want in a catcher, thank You for posting this bit of information.
I did do a google search for brass catchers and I did not see that site in there.
I will still have to take Mine rifle out and test the mods I made on the mesh bag catcher. :woohoo: If it would ever dry up enough to get into the range, gumbo mud all the ways. :S
I will report how it works for those that already have these mesh bags and maby they will want to take about a 1/2 hour and fix theirs about the same way.
I primarily use Mine AR10 at the range and the areas I hunt has very little cover to snag the mesh bag.

Mr Marty,
Thanks for the feedback. I've been trying to get Vector Tactical to make an AR-10T brass catcher without any luck. All they make are catchers for AR-15s. They said it was a good idea and they had a lot of requests for a larger AR-10T version, but haven't made any yet. My patience is dwindling so I may make one like you did also.
I was thinking about making a protype out of a coat hanger and then insulate the wires with some heat shrink tubing so it doesn't scratch my rifle. Coat hangers are easy to bend and manipulate. I figured I'd use some wornout fatigues as the material since it is tear resistant and hopefully doesn't melt from the hot brass. Also it's not mesh so it shouldn't catch on everything and it being camo doesn't hurt either. I want to sew one of those flat springs in the bottom of the bag so you don't have to mess with zippers. When you want to empty the bag, just push on each end of the flat spring and it pops open, release the spring and it pops back shut.
Interested in your latest design, Jer

Now that is one slick catcher,Mine AR10 does`nt have the rail system so I guessing that a be something else i`ll need to spend monies on to get a catcher that`ll stick on real tough. :silly: Or else but a/nother rifle what has all the bells n whistles, momma wo`nt be happy bout that, hmmmmm toaster, thats it,get the Armalite deal wit the new toaster, throw the toaster through the dooorway before I walks in announcing and showing off that new AR10 Super SASS.heyheyhey , She prolly would not be as pizzed bout that as She was when I come home last weeek with the 59 dodge PowerWagon whut I once owned about eighteen years ago, hehehe, prolly should have told Her I was going to buy it before I brung it home. :woohoo:BUILDING MY SASS wrote: With the July contest of the Tactical Brass Catcher, I thought I would move this up to the "Front of the Bus".....LOL
