Elvis on the other hand was a good soldier...

:I-agree: Completely but I'll take it 1 step farther..

I have no respect for those who fled to Canada to avoid serving in the military to defend our country and our way of life. I furthermore have even less respect for those who returned to America once pardoned to again enjoy those freedoms and liberties they cowardly refused to defend.....

I also have NO respect for John Kerry..... :censored:

This is America, Love it or leave it....:soapbox: Off now...

John Kerry :censored: :censored:

On this subject: Our current deserter is down here in San Antonio. They like to call him a POW but no one on the ground says that.

Obama and the media love to call him a hero, with honor and distinction.

He should be heading to a General Court Martial. My guess is he walks free. Obama is the CIC, that is COMMANDER IN CHIEF of ALL the military. My bet is he will see to it the deserter is never CM'd...

Any solder that willfully and with intention walks away from his post should be charged with Desertion and Dereliction of Duty. I believe that he also aided the enemy and for crying out loud his own father on national television praised Afghanistan... :banghead: :banghead: :censored: :censored:

I agree with you.

If you listened to his platoon buddies, they all stand by his desertion...

This administration is using this for political posturing. Because America has been overrun with limousine liberals and sheeple, Obama will use this to prove he is a friend to the military....

One thing to say. John Kerry is a veteran who paid his dues. He was slandered by some paid shills for G.W. Junior. Don't care whether I believe in his politics or not. He is a combat veteran and I respect him for it. Check out G.W. Bush's Air Force Reserve history sometime, or Dick Cheney's changing his marital and father status one step ahead of the draft board. Kerry manned up at least and spent his time in Vietnam. If I am going to piss on anybody about avoiding the Vietnam Draft take a look at Cheney and G W Bush.
John Kerry, :usa: thank you for your service!

Have you listened to Kerry's testimony before congress?? He denounced his service and threw his medals over the White House fence. This is not slander but documented fact that Kerry himself promoted when he ran for senate.
That said I agree about the avoiders like Bush, Cheney, and of course Clinton, more so Clinton because he denounced the US while in the USSR. :soapbox: stepping down......

Kerry is a liar abandoned his mission in Vietnam after only a four months

Then he got a pass to leave the military EARLY to run for Congress!!!!

Cane back and joined Vietnam Vets against the war.

Testified in Congress and lied about what he had seen in Vietnam.

He is a liar, incompetent, inept life long politician who will say and do anything for himself.

3 Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, Silver Star and not a single day in a hospital. There are VA's across the US, go to any one of them and you can see guys with Purple Hearts. I will see my VA doc, after an 8 mo wait and they are STILL treating me for combat injuries from Vietnam, the same injuries that will probably take my life some day.

In my 14 mo in Vietnam, all but just slightly more than 2 weeks I was in the bush, saw plenty of Purple Hearts and other medals, almost always they got to go back to the rear, usually on a 'Dust Off' often out of a hot LZ

In 1982, one of the guys who worked for us part time was a Vietnam vet, Navy, Lieutenant, OIC of a Swift Boat, he knew John Kerry as he was in his unit and was quite dubious of his medals and he felt Kerry had sold him and his men out by leaving and going back and testifying before Congress, which was lies! Even in '82 Kerry did not have fans.

I have no respect for him and do not know a soldier that does.

Sad to say, there is no shortage of trumped up PH, Bronze Stars and Silver Stars among the Officer Corp...

Almost, a guy I worked for with his PH, Bronze Star and Silver Star displayed in a book shelf next to his desk of which he was quite proud.

He found out I was a Vietnam vet and we were there about the same time, I arrived in 67 and he in 68. He was an officer, of course I was enlisted. Well he liked to go to happy hour, every day! Turns out he drank too much and he would regale me with war stories. Then when he found out I was a vet and on one Fri he got well lubed and said he had to apologize to me. In fact they were all phony, He was the Company XO and figured he ought to have some medals himself, so he typed them up, submitted them and they got approved and it gets worse.

His dad was a Doc, sonny gets drafted and goes to Vietnam, Dad calls up and gets an appointment, goes to Vietnam as a Doc so son can come home. He was only over there about 4 mo. I had noticed that on his DD 214 which he had displayed in a frame in his office.

No shortage of phony's out there and fake medals.

Kerry did the unthinkable. As the Captain of his ship he purposely beached it, LEFT the ship and crew to chase down a enemy and shot him in the back. Kerry should have been Court Martial. I have more than one Navy friend who agrees.

Kerry PAID NO DUES, he is a liar and has lied all his life, a two bit career politician and political hack and insult to every soldier that has worn the uniform...

It's pretty simple, if you got drafted it was your duty to go, simply because you received the benefits of being a US Citizen.

You did your time as best you could, if you ended up being made a cook in Germany, my hat's off to you, because you did your duty. My hat is off to all those other non-combatants too who answered the call and did there job because that is where the country asked you to go. And my sympathy and gratitude go to those who answered the call and were wounded or killed by just doing their duty.

To refuse to serve or run away to avoid serving should have voided the right to live here, period. Instead someone else died or had their life affected because some dip shit coward piece of crap refused to answer the call.

To disagree with the war is one thing, to disrespect your brothers in arms by publicly throwing your medals away is disgraceful. How people actually vote for them is beyond me.

To run away from a combat assignment into the hands of the enemy is not only cowardice, but murder for each and every soldier who lost his life looking for his sorry ass.

When one person fails to do their duty, someone else has to and maybe died or was wounded as a consequence.
