Wife and I went to the range and I opened my gun bag and had left my gun on my desk when I packed my bag, I had taken it out then put it in then out as I shuffled things around...So the guy who showed me to my range table said here use mine. I said sure, little did I realize he had some Glock deal that was so small it fit inside my hand. I have never owned or shot a glock before and never shot something looking more like a derringer than a gun. So i shot anyhow from 5, 10, 15 and 25 yards, 10 rds each. The 5 yds is where I missed the 10 ring the most as I learned to shot the thing ( I use a Beretta US Mdl 92 and a Colt 1911 as I am a big guy). I finally got the gun fitting and shot the 10 ring off the target at further distances..

I have a little semi that I made a holster for that will fit into my back pocket that looks like a wallet. Someone asks for my money, I reach into my back pocket with my hand backwards and come out with it ready to go.
It's really only good in VERY close quarters which all those little ones are really any good for anyway.
I call it my "cumby's gun" cuz if I'm in Cumberland Farms (northeast convenience chain store) and they are getting hit, it's a handy lil surprise as long as he's got a knife or is within 25 feet of me...
God knows I've tried to like Glocks. I think they're great pistols, super simple and super reliable. I recommend them to anybody wanting to get into pistol shooting. But I can't for the life of me get the trigger on those things. I wind up snatching at the trigger and the target ends up looking like I hit it with bird shot.
I hate to not practice what I preach, but I defiitely prefer a single action or DA/SA pistol.
-agree: 1911's or Sig Sauer style seem to work best for me. I was trained on 1911's and I have had Sig style pistols for the last 25 years. A lot of my friends like Glocks, but they just don't feel right. Same with Berretta 92's. Good pistols, just not for me.
