I hate to be copy cat but that is a good ideall you had there and is what I have been trying figure out for myself. Thanks for the help
TAG is good stuff. I really like the way they did the webbing strap thingys that don't use snaps, much less hassle weaving it together. Probably the easiest pouches/accessories to install.
Very cool belt. Not for me. Usually just out of view I still have a full load assault vest, its like a pasifier for me. Alot of my friends are the same way. A long time ago I came to terms with the fact that when I entered basic training my life changed forever, for better or worse, the 12 years of service changed the way I think. I am not ashamed of what I became, I am what I am with no regrets. I am OK with never allowing myself to become anything less than on full operational status 24/7. I feel/move like I have purpose. When I go to the range it is a military movement water food comms and ready to hit the road, truck even will have a full tank, its part of what my uncle sam gave me. It will remain when I breath my last breth. My kids and friends accept it as it is a part of me. Gentelmen don't try to wash away what is there, simply be comfortable with what you are doing, it is natural for you to act and behave the way you do. I am proud to be among you. :soapbox:
The chest rig I ran in the sandbox is sitting in the closet, ready to go. Only thing different is the saw pouches were replaced with M14 pouches for my AR10, and I don't have an mbitr anymore. I tried to break it all down, but I just don't feel right if my gear aint ready for pcc/pci. I want a war belt for range/hiking use, or other such situations where full battle rattle might look a tad out of place.
I sold my TT MAV plus pouches and M9 holster to a bro getting ready to go to the box back in 08. Sometimes I regret it, but he needed it more than I did.
I keep my armor and my ACH on a stand in my cave. It's kinda like a display, but sometimes I think of it as "Just in case..."
