There's just not enough paychecks for all the gear I need to get :S
That's why they make CC with the wife's name on them :rotfl:
But, Oh boy do I regret the day she figures it out :naughty:

Vests are nice, but in this day and age, can be a little intimidating to people not in the know. I want something can double for a gear belt for extended canoe trips as well. Plus even with mesh, on a hot day at the range, vests are hot. And I have no need in my life for Armor plate or a kevlar vest, and neither does my son. What I am working up is a cross between the old ALICE belt suspender design, and MOLLE gear. I would even leave out the suspenders but I am starting to suffer from "old age disappearing derrière syndrome"(don't laugh, it will happen to all of you too) so I need the suspenders, especially with the weight of the AR10 mags. Our local range is really spread out and it will help not to have to lug everything in our hands. Plan on finishing it by next week. Would have liked to stick with made in USA stuff, but the budget is just too tight right now. Sub in that stuff at a later date.
It is still a work in progress but here is a Blackhawk range belt I am putting together. The suspenders are removable for when you have lighter loads. But with them you don't really feel the weight of 4 AR10 mags, A Sig SP2022 and 3 Sig mags. It is very comfortable to wear. Sure beats running to the car to get shooting gear. Cost of belt $39, cost of holster $15 cost of suspenders $15 , Cost of Mag pouches, $15 each.

I had to sew the D Rings on.
Plus I can throw a camelbak on it, take off the mag pouches, put on my GPS/compass pouch, Hunting knife, and first aid kit, and still portage a canoe on my shoulders for extended canoe trips.
That is a good setup. I'm having organizational malfunctions, nothing feels like its in the right place. Lately I've been spending more time rearranging my gear than using it.

I am still working on that myself. I have the problem that I shoot a rifle left handed, and a pistol right handed. So I need to have some mags on the right side, as well as the pistol holster, and have pistol mags on the left side. To keep it balanced out load wise, i put a couple more AR10 mags on the left as well, although I might replace that with a multi tool and a binocular pouch. Haven't decided yet.
