Primarily auto loaders. The difference between the the powders is that the RE15 maintains properties at ambient temps over 90 degrees. 4064 is in virtually the identical performance range.
42.5 gr is the sweet spot with this rifle under 165 or 168 gr with either R-15 or Varget. Those powders will perform in high temps. The good group on the right top was 42.5gr of R-15. The good group on the left top was 41.8 Varget.

That is good to know...I am planning on using the R-15 in next batch...
Zfk Sr. and Jr. both have stated the same thing at 42.5....for the R-15..
I guess I am good to go on that one...
Now just need to get off my but and get some loaded.....

Thought I'd show you Latigo's latest target with the Wilson, 175SMKs and RE15.
These cartridges were assembled with his usual anal approach to reloading he now has. He's so darned meticulous that I can't get him to use any of the progressives and sometimes I want to take one of his Ma's darning eggs and tap him on his skull. I created a true reloading monster, and I don't ever remember having his patience or inclination to use 5 single stage presses lined up in a row when I was young. Now that I think about it, I don't think I ever had more than a couple at any one time.
100 yards, five rounds.

All of his targets are pretty much the same now, so he'll soon be shifting his attention to his new Don McCoy High Masters single shot M1 Garand.
I hope it's ok that Dad posted this morning. It took us a full year and a half to get everything pinned down tight so I now have repeatablity with the Wilson AR10.
I'm also using RE17 in our zfk55 Swiss Sniper, and I've surpassed the GP11 cartridge in tight groups and repeatablity.
All of the Reloader powders are made in Switzerland at the same factory that has made the powders of the GP11 cartridge since the early 1900's.
To...Zfk Sr.
Wish I could punch paper like that...question...was the bench rest or free hand.
No matter really...still wish I could do it like that...
and by the way...Nice to see on-line again my friend...
