Fausty0 I think you covered it pretty well. The only good news is Biden is heading up the panel and he seems to have more common sense than Obama or Feinstein, keep our fingers crossed.Fausty0 wrote: This bill is such a blatant disregard concerning the 2nd Amendment, and the constitution as a whole, that I doubt it will even make it out of committee. I think there are two valid options as to what is going to happen in the next month or so.
#1: Feinstein's bill doesn't make it out of committee However, Obama promised Gun regulation already which means something needs to be done NOW. I see a bypass of congressional legislation by Presidential Executive Order using points from Feinstein's bill. And if anyone studies Politics, we know that in order to repeal a Exec. Order it takes 2/3's vote in house and senate.
#2: A New bill will be proposed and passed by committee making it to the floor and passing. In order for this to happen, since Republicans hold at-least one majority, it needs to be nothing like Feinstein's bill. I think that this is the 2nd best outcome, the first being nothing happening at all and maybe even de-regulation haha.
Cheers!
