Just have to vent a little , this morning out of boredom I visited a couple other gun websites. I am so glad to have found AR10T, it is a virtual no drama, no spin zone by comparison. I was on this other site reading a thread and was astounded by the pompous shit being written. Members with 3K posts writing shit that simply is not true and totally inaccurate. Very discouraging to see this. Makes me proud of all our members past and present. Here's to the continuation of this site down the right path. Well done everyone.

Drama, well I can do mostly without it and all to often it gets out of control, but sure is refreshing to not have any!

But what REALLY gets to me is bad advice which I often think is given on purpose some of it is so stupid and clearly evident its false...more than once I have posted: "are you stupid or just lying...please pick one"

I have always felt I could trust the advice from the folks on this website. I appreciate the courtesy shown,and the desire to help each other with good advice. I no longer bother with any of the other websites, because after about 10 minutes, it becomes obvious you need tall boots when on those sites because the manure gets pretty deep

I have one other firearm forum I post on. There is some good info on it and knowledgeable people on it but it has also got the inner sanctum members who are pretty close. They are welcoming, but share a lot because they meet up face to face and interact that way as well. That is OK since I guess some of us are the inner sanctum here. On AR 10 T though, I think we are pretty welcoming to new posters and members and I don't think that will ever change. I still want to figure out how to meet up face to face with a bunch of you some time.

Maybe have a meet in the spring April or May somewhere in the middle, Tennessee , Kentucky or Missouri. Get together for a day of shooting, maybe have a dinner the day before late. That would give everyone time to get there, maybe do dinner friday night and shoot Saturday. If guys want to come early they can , or stay a day later if they want.

I was looking for a place with a range , in either state and I found about eight good possible locations with 600-1000 yd ranges. This would be pretty easy to organize. Cowboy I like the idea of having something for the wives if they want to do something else. And the more things there are to do the more we will attract to the meet. I could handle most of this in a day or so on the phone. Would locate lodgeing, organize the shoot and make it happen. I think if we get it started this spring it will grow each year, into something good. I start a thread, with some ideas if i have time in the afternoon or am.

I totally agree on the other websites drama. I used to belong to a handgun forum. Some people were friendly but most were very standoffish and pompous. They also were so brainwashed on "Their Pistol" that no other guns mattered. If you weren't talking about their pistol, no one would respond. I ended up selling all of "Those Pistols" so there is no need to visit the site anymore. That's the great thing about AR10T. You can talk about anything with no snide responses. Good job all!
