Sharkey, you are the Thread King....Make it So....If you would...

How about we just use this one BMS. I don't have anything to start it with and this one seems to have all the right ingredients INCLUDING your dear friend already.

Not being disagreeable. Just honoring what you started and respecting the thoughts, sentiments and continued lives of those who carry on and remember.

Shark

I could also change the name of this one to something different if you'd like. Ideas from all involved are welcome.

Sorry if I'm not up to starting a "meaningful" thread at the moment BMS. I had got back from the track and had my full weight suit on - 40lb vest, 5-lb ankle weights, 3-lb wrist weights with 1/2-lb black sap gloves and did 2 miles in 92 degrees with 60% humidity - finishing with a 100 yard dash pulling a 30lb drag bag - which I had to tow all the way back to my vehicle after my sprint - when I read your request I was actually thinking death might be a good choice for me at the moment.

If someone wants to pick that one up though, go for it. I'm back in training so evenings will be tough for me for a little while here as far as doing much more than checking in...

I'm frickin exhausted man...

God Bless
Sharkey

My heart and prayers are with you BMS. I had to put down two of my best friends in a six month time frame last year. Kramer was a Miniature Schnauzer that I had for 12 years, and Daisy my Lab of 5 years. When the time came for Kramer I let my wife and kids say their good byes. I gave him a Melatonin and took him outside with the .22. My wife flipped shit. She asked what the hell I was doing, how could I be so cruel? I explained to her growing up in the country that is how we took care of things. He was my pet, my friend, and my responsibility. As Conway would say "that's my job". She walked away and let me have our final moment. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. It didn't get easier the second time.

As far as watching loved ones go, I am blessed to still have my mother and father. I have watch many of my loved ones pass due to cancer, including my wife's father. As being somewhat of a troubled youth I made sure they had the best "medication" money could buy to help ease their pain. In my youth I often wondered why you would hear the stories of old men walking off and putting a bullet in their head. I could never understand it. After seeing what awaits, I get it. I could write more, but I have a lot of work to do and I'm running out of tissue. :(

Keep the thread, it is a good one. Maybe move it to the members only section.

I have had to put down so many pets in my lifetime, that I no longer allow myself to become so attached that my judgement is clouded on when it is their time.I regret it, but I can take the dog out, have a few minutes with him petting him and when he is relaxed and in peace, the 45acp provides instantaneous and painless death. That said, my wife knows very well that the only thing keeping her cats alive is my love for her. If she dies before me,the earth won't be over her casket before her 4 cats are in deep doodoo.

You have more "hangers" than I...but given your Profession...I would think you would have more of an out take on things...but that said...No offense meant my Friend...I know you see more than all of us Put Together...So I can understand it...
The cats Better combine their lives if she does...and Pray...
Thanks my Friend...
