Took the AR10T for its second outing today. Things went much better than the initial shakedown. Started at the 200 yard range using the Turkish ZQ1 NATO ball ammo, prone with just a Harris bipod and my shoulder. Both the rifle and the ammo shot well. After 40 rounds I had to move to the covered 100 yard range--just too darn hot laying out in the open with 90 degree full sun. Once set up again the shooting continued. At the shorter range I sighted in the Fastfire III that sits atop the Leupold VX-R. That arrangement worked quite well and easily hit center of mass on the silhouette. After 80 rounds of the ZQ1 the rifle had 1 FTF. Dunno what caused it. Started shooting my loads of 178g AMAX pushed with 42g of Varget. Accuracy was acceptable with no failures. All in all, a good day of shooting and I'm quite happy with the new stick. Next time think I'll use some surplus German DAG to see how that works.

What kind of accuracy did you get from the ZQ1? For cheaper ammo I had decent results, it did just over 1 moa for me and I think I could do better.
Wish I could find some DAG, hell Radway or FN would be fine as well. The supply of foreign ball ammo seems to be slim to none these days
Heard That been shooting the M1 30-06 surplus ammo up though

Anyone have any deals! Keep us posted in the members area
After thinking about it some I believe the ZQ1 ammo was quite good for what it was. Comparable to the DAG that I have stored. Not a bargain like the better surplus a few years ago but Wally World sold it for $15 for a box of 20 this week. The brass will make a good reload for the FAL. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in the 10T, either.
Ole Cowboy, I spend all day in an office cube....almost anywhere is better!

Believe it or not, I have some Indian Army Surplus M80 from 1975 that is quite accurate, and the brass is excellent for reloading. Got it for 25 cents a round a couple of years ago.
