My Boss just gave me a brand new Armalite 10A4F What a great guy 2 years ago it was an Alexander Arms 50 cal Beowulf all decked out Tactical. (Christmas gifts)
The 10A4F is stock no optics or anything. I was looking at maybe giving it a more Tactical look and putting some good quality optics on it. I do not hunt very much so really they are just more SHTF guns and to plink with. Right now I have about 1K to spend for upgrades. What would you guys do with this option?
This is the stock photo there is no scope on mine yet.

With having a flat top receiver, the options are endless.
A flat top is on my list of "WANTS" for Mine AR10. Maybe a longer barrel too, with threads on the en ofit. :cowboy:
:banghead: I know optics need to be first ( so many choices) :banghead:
And will that make a difference if I decide to change the furniture later on?
I'm glad he picked the 20" threaded barrel.
Here is some eye candy on the gift he gave 2 years ago.

Not sure what the :busted: is about but we can go to the range when your ready
You might want to check out the Nikon M308 BDC scope. For BUIS remember that you need a front sight that compensates for the lower height of the gas block. Also, stick to a high quality bipod. Harris or better.
No the AR10 has nothing but a rail right now.I have found a used original Armalite carry handle and front sight that I'm trying to buy right now it's cheap only $40 dollars. I thought it may work until I decide what other optic I want to use.
