Then there is always a Noveske, 16" mid-length barrel
I have a fluted bbl on my AR 15. There is a LOT is pro/con discussion over fluting. As a long time machinist and fabricator I fall more on the Pro side than the Con. That said when a rd is fired from your bbl it creates a moving wave that runs down the bbl. Now the accuracy guys will day it makes your weapon less accurate. I can find nothing that supports that IF the fluting is done properly. Meaning the flutes are equidistant and of the same length. Do it that way and you still have a round bbl that will allow the waveform to travel down...note I feel you should go with full flutes rather than the short ones often seen that are only at the exposed part of the bbl. The reason for is the waveform will alter its velocity and curve when the bbl is changed at any point due to increased or decreased diameter or design. IF the goal is all out accuracy out to the limits of the rd its chambered for then you MIGHT have some issues*
* I am from the school of thought that anything you do that does not affect what I believe is the single most important factor in an accurate weapon...CONSISTENCY! If you alter your weapon and that alteration causes it to shoot left and down .87 and .34 inch at 100 yds and it does it EVERY time your weapon is still accurate, you just have to dial it in, Now if it shoots something different every shot then, buy a new gun and use that one for an expensive boat paddle...
Go with the flute, do them full length and I think you will be happy with it, I am...
Lemme know how that works out for you. I have a barrel that I am contemplating putting on my AR10 that sounds like the same barrel. I will only put it on if I can have it fluted. Dang thing is heavy as all out.
