What 13fcolt said. In addition, Fulton Armory barrels only work with DPMS, Knight, and other riles built on that pattern. That's definetly not Armalite. I have a fulton armory titan, and love it, anathema that may be to the armalite owners. I went with the 18.5 inch barrel as a compromise. As to better guns, I've seen and heard great things and horror stories from both companies. Generally, both make quality rifles, and occasionaly something gets away from the factory.
