When it comes to shaving I hate it with a passion, that said I also have to shave as I can only go a few days without.
Way back when, IIRC is just after the great flood I was burned in a accident. BAD and it was my face that was almost burned off. I saw the best of the best docs in the world in Germany at that time and they did a fantastic job, leaving me with zero scarring after a few years. But my face was different, or should I say my skin was different. It was thin, thinner than a .25 rubber from a open all night convenience store and stomach pump room.
By the time Friday rolled around my face was raw and bleeding, but a break of 2 days could get me thru another 5 of razor. The other draw back...I tan. I stand in the sun and am tan at the end of the day, but my face will burn inside a helmet. Putting on sunblock, well its just a chemical and my face rejects all of them. Camo in the Army like most chems set my face on fire.
Vietnam also handed me a rash like condition that requires a daily dose of steroids to keep under control...been smearing my face since 1969 every morning.
Bottom line all I want is a close shave not a self sacrifice. So I try every shaving cream, jel, goop, mud you can imagine always looking for a better way. Always looking for a sharper and better blade system.
To date:
BEST shaving stuff: King of Shaves, hard to get, made in England, Gel, 2nd place most gels.
BEST blade: Gillette Fusion ProGlide
But the search as always continues:
Harry's claims there blades are sharper and better designed. I will let you know.
They did`n have any double edge blades fur My Gillette safety razor. :banghead: :busted: :rotfl:
They have a nice campaign of 1% + 1% of money and time to help further educations to peoples getting into perfesshunal schooling
I sent them a message to see if they could further My advancement of procuring more AR platform rifles. I guess if they refuse that I`ll have to try fur the bolt actions u-nits. :banghead: :busted: :rotfl:
Some mighty gud products in there and I like the part where thay`ll let You sign up for a replacement programmm toooh.
My face hasn't seen a razor since grandmas funeral in 1998
Funerals and weddings for CLOSE family are the only times I shave, I call it a religious thing :usa:
Wish I could grow a beard, but my face needs that daily rub of steroid. Truly a case of damned if I do and damned if I Don't...can't grow a beard, but cannot shave 7 days in a row either...envy you guys...
Gillette Fusion ProGlide/ with Battery  that little vibration makes all the difference  , creates less drag and a clean shave, I'll never go back

When you have to use topical steroids long term they will make your skin thinner as well. I used to sell a flourinated topical steroid to Dermatologists.
I have used Barbasol for years along with Personna Tech 3's . Are they the best? No. But they work for me at half the price of Gilette products.

Not sure if you followed the link in my first post, but these guys BOUGHT the company that makes most of the worlds razor blades for shaving razors, they have been in business over 100 years. Now they are having them make their own blades to their specs and they claim they are better than anyones.
