No thanks, that thing scares me. I just envision myself on the phone with someone that doesn't speak English well trying to sort out warranty issues. Or dammit! I though I just changed that battery.

-agree: It looks a little clunky and complicated for any application I might have. Hopefully someone other than Fascist Group will get the size and price down! :usa:
They are coming I can assure you and the price is stiff, but I am not against them for a couple of reasons.
1) Hunting. This takes the ole saw 'one shot one kill' to a new level for the hunter.
2) While the aforementioned scope will not meet the needs, there are in development scopes that reach out beyond 2000 meters. This can be a force multiplier on the battlefield
5500, is that the price of these things ???? if so, that is mighty steep, but, I guess technology costs, if it did`nt, technology wooood slow down.
I could`nt, with a clear conscience purchase anythingk right now, but, I have been drooling over some of the scopes with the built in range finder and other features like the automatic ballistics and drop that can be programmed into the scope.
By using the high scoping mounts, the iron sights is still therre fur a backumup.
I think it wood be innerestingk too take a look through that remington scope though, just for the crapsnagiggles ofit.

-agree: as well...I read the article in my NRA magazine about it...very impressive but at that cost...it better shoot the deer, clean it, cook it and mount the head all in 10 minutes...by it's self...
I think there might be some Military applications for it at longer ranges like on a 50 bmg or a 20mm rifle...
...and it weighs over 3 lbs...sheesh... :S
BMS

Lemme see now, 5,000 buckaroos devided by 3 pounds = $1667.00 or roughley thereabouts.
So, gimme a 1/2 a pounds wurth please, I`ll pick up the rest in a while. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I too read about it. Seems like a fine unit, but, I too believe it`d have more use doing Military duty than laying around in a Prairie dog town. :rotfl:
This is the IWI MEPCO Sniper scope. + 2000 meters, computes weather factors, dial in 5.56/7.62 NATO, no pricing but thinking around $7-10k this is a mil spec sniper grade unit.

Does this one read the wind? So far what I've seen of these high tech scopes they all require you to punch in wind data. Seems like this negates any edge as this is where most errors occur with standard scopes?????????
