Right now, this one is A-Number One on my list of must haves. Even before the scare, they were hard to find. But I refuse to pay $750+ for a $500 gun. I might have to bite the bullet and get on a waiting list for one.

Those are definitely a big deal even with the smaller caliber and I've wanted one for my wife for quite a while although other priorities keep slowing down the "savings account for goodies"... :(

Bushmaster ACR. < don't judge me

If Remington Defense ever releases their version to the public, I'm in. It's around 1-2 pounds lighter than Bushmaster's. And the barrel has a 1-7 twist versus the 1-9 the Bushy has.

Certainly with you there...that said Rem did not do well in the big shoot off for the Army, which awarded the contract to FN. As I understand the Rem finished last? But certainly have one of the best looking line ups around and the difference between combat and non-combat (civilian) use is far bigger than dan and night even more like the diff between Obama and say Reagan!!!! So for me I am sure the Rem would be a good choice...

I don't suppose this would be realistic to put on my list?

Had you looked to the N across the James river you would have looked right at my house...I would sit on my front porch and watch the carriers come in and dock...WOW, gave me goose bumps just to see teh firepower of an American carrier, its size is beyond HUGE, my house set on the water and I am a good mile or so from the carrier and it was an incredible sight...that said...

I was stationed at Ft Monroe at the mouth of the James/Chesapeake Bay. I was taking a break one day and walked out on the seawall. As I walked I noticed there were waves hitting the wall and I scanned only to see nothing???? I kept looking, hearing nothing, seeing nothing then right in front of me I saw it...a USN Nuclear Sub going thru the water fast and near silent, the conning tower, the hull barely above the water line...Good GOD, its big, its silent and the most dangerous thing on the face of this earth! Made me proud to be a soldier...

Nice spot! we saw three attack subs and four carriers. One was the Enterprise which is being decommissioned. Enjoyed touring the Battleship Wisconsin. My friend worked at the Norfolk Southern Coal facility just West of the base until he retired. Nice country except for the water moccasins.

My short list includes the AR-24-13C, I like the idea of the ++P rating for reloading.
SPR Mod 1 MIDLENGTH CARBINE for the wife and,
an AR-50 for me.
I'm hoping by the time I get these checked off Armalite will have some sort of tactical shotgun to add to this list, and then there are a couple uppers I need.......all Armalite of course. :twothumbs:

:I-agree:
Other than that I think I am done. I have enough.

Never say never...
If I ever move to snake country, something like the Taurus Judge might be nice. And a Benelli M4 would be an upgrade over my current tactical shotguns. That's it.

Something in .338 Lapua. Either a Barret 99B or an Accuracy International AX. I'm still reviewing the options (and saving money ;) .
