Tragic. An utter tragedy to see one of our finest be taken out in such a way.
God Bless him and his family and let's keep an eye on this as facts come out please. I'm VERY interested in seeing what the shooter's story is, why it all happened and what he gets for doing it.

I've been searching on this Leb and haven't found anything more than the same general details linked in the OP. I found a thing about him being sued by Jesse Ventura over a story about him punching Ventura in the face but other than that, details are very tough to find at this point.
When they come out though, whoever finds them is welcome to post or link them into this thread.
This is something many of us will be VERY interested is learning about and trying to understand..
Chris Kyle is a family friend of my vet and I am in the animal business so we're close. (My Vet and I)
Chris Kyle lives (or did) in my town. He's a local hero. I have his book and met him at boarders books where he signed it. He was a really nice guy. He was at Dr. Rooks office later after the book signing and talked with me a bit. He was such a humble man. The kind of guy you just wanted to buy a beer for and talk with. He told a couple stories about his career. When I told him I just got an AR10 he siad if he got the chance he'd go to the range with me. We never got that chance as he was busy with his book signing's etc.
He will be missed. He was a one of a kind guy. It's really hard to believe he was shot at a local gun range in the back.
He and another guy took a Marine who had severe PTSD to the range to help him out, for some reason the guy turned on them and shot Kyle in the back and also shot the other guy, then stole Kyles truck. I think he is now in custody.
I fear this may trigger a move to classify ALL PTSD vets as unstable and not able to own a gun...the govt has been wanting to do this for years...
