You wouldn't recognize the place anymore. There's been quite a bit of remodeling and new construction all over post. DA consolidated the FA and ADA training centers here at Sill a few years ago. Hell, I got to post frequently and I don't recognize the place anymore. One of the best things that post re-modeled was the FA museum. It's not on a par with the National Infantry Museum by any stretch, but it's a nice, modern facility that really does a good job of telling the story of American Field/Rocket Artillery.
I keep meaning to make a trip up that way. It would be nice if they bothered to mention FOs in the new museum. I remember the old copperhead display and not one mention of who aims the damn thing.
I wish I remembered all the class numbers and such, looks like we were at least neighbors in basic, I was in the older barracks, Harmony Church maybe???? Did you go straight to airborne training from there? I must have finished airborne about the first week of oct. because I was in R.I.P. when they went to Grenada.
