Unfortunately yes. A friend and I were trying out a new scope for my AR180 back in the early 80's. Ground was wet and muddy, so we put an ensolite pad on the roof of his VW Rabbit and used that for a rest. The scope set so high that the first shot plowed a furrow along the far side roof of his car! Luckily no one was hurt, and I gave him a Canoe and a roll of duct tape to make up for it. It actually was a pretty good deal for him. I think the canoe is still in West Yellowstone Montana!
