But...
Since I am not used to that company and their receiver extension tubes. I got to ask...
What buffer do you have coming?
What is the inside depth of that receiver extension tube?
Have one coming from HeavyBuffers.com, I ordered the 6.5ounce model.
Have ran these in the past. The Armalite carbine buffer is 5.4 ounces, the standard Car-10 is 5.6 ounces. The XH tips the scales at 6.5 ounces, smoother operation with the 168-175 ammo, better for suppressed operation, and is weight adjustable by removing internal weights. My goal is to be able to Taylor the buffer weight slightly, to better suit my needs.

That seems like it would be a very worthy upgrade for most any AR10. I like it that it can be adjustable without any machine work.
Will not know how much adjustability I will have until I get it. May be able to get it down close the Armalite's buffer weight. There are many running Slash's 9mm heavy buffer and doing the exact same thing. I had no intentions of suppressing that, so I went with the 8.5 vs the heavier 11.5 ounce buffer.
This rifle just turned into a great disappointment.
It is going back to Armalite, along with the excessive forge flashing, in which case there was not even an ATTEMPT to clean up, the barrel is LOOSE in the receiver. Have a question for you. With the nut removed it can be wiggled quite a bit. I measured the receiver and got 1.1885 inches, the barrel's extension measures 1.1860 inches. This gives me .0025 inches of play. Have never seen this bullshit before.........after sleeping on it I am beyond pissed!
To make matters worse, Armalite is "closed for end of season inventory", so i wait until the new year until it can be sent back, ON MY DIME!
Never been let down by Armalite before, guess they should be allowed one lemon every now and then, but this is really taxing my patience. Where the hell was the quality control guys on this one? Whomever assembled this KNEW it was crap!
Kind of a set back and a dissapointment for sure.
I too am surprised that Armalite would not have caught the loose barrel.
I guess things like this do happen when batch running. They will make it good or You I`d about bet. i`m not a betting man though.
