Mine was a white '71 with a 455 cid 2bbl and fake wood sides. I added a 4bbl Holley and American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels with Michelin tires. It was the proverbial "living room on wheels"!
One day I took my 3 year old son with me to gas it up. While I was pumping he stuck his head out the back window and asked; "Dad, is this a boat?" Our bass boat had hatches that opened vertically, and the Vista Cruiser had hatches that opened vertically, so he thought that if the bass boat was a boat then so was the Vista Cruiser! He was more right than he knew. lol
