Absolutely glad I added the PRS stock to my 10. I like the standard multi-position stock on my AR-15 carbine so I don't see a change to a PRS for that.

I opted for the MagPul PRS and found it to be a great choice for either the Ar-10 or Ar-15 platform. It's not a collapsible so I wouldn't recommend it for close quarters work but if you need and adjustable stock for precision use their is no finer...

The photo below is a 6.8 SPC build I did with the PRS stock.

After picking up a Colt HBAR I added the PRS to that as well. Great stock for these longer shooting rifles.

A quick note on the Magpul PRS stock.

There's little doubt as to the design, quality, and performance on these stocks but be certain you order one made for the AR-10 and not an AR-15. The cheek-piece on the AR-10 model sits back further taking into account the longer cartridge during chambering...

I have two other ar15 rifles, and don't really want to loose the tight fit that the 10t has. because I just don't like the play that adjustable butt stocks have,,,even with a locking handle..but thats just me. the 10t stock isn't ( tactical ) looking but it sure does serve a purpose,,for being accurate for long range..somebody twist my arm,,ha ha, because that prs sure looks really nice.

I have the PRS and since its a 'screw' adjust up and back it does not have the play that many others do. I would recommend it :twothumbs:

I am thinking of replacing my rear stock on my AR10T with a PRS, is there any surprises when installing one ?

I know this thread is VERY old......however, keep in mind that there is a .308 parer PRS stock as well as a 5.56 pattern model. They are not interchangeable.

Absolutely no surprises to mounting a PRS butt stock on your AR-10. It was very easy, just follow the instructions as it requires a longer screw which was included. I really like mine although it does make the rifle a little heavier, but the adjustability is more important to me than the weight. I made sure that it was made for a .308. The box said for .308 so make sure you get the right one.
