I'm thinking about getting an acog. I've used the chevron recital on a m16. So I'm not really sure what to put on my RRA LAR8, 20" I'm trying to make the best battle rifle.
Take a look and please give me feedback! Thanks!

I shot an M4 with a Trijicon and it was incredible! Way better than the Aimpoint I used to have. There was a much larger field of view and the reticule was much brighter.
It depends on what you're going to use the rifle for. If your intent is to have a GP battle rifle, I'd look at the TA648-308 reticle. The chevron will let you take close range shots (Using BAC, of course), but you'll have substensions for holdover and leads.
Just food for thought: Your RRA has a 20" barrel. Why not go for a scope that'll allow for more precise long range shooting? Or are you limited by range space?

I'd like to keep my precise long range shooting to my 300 win mag bolt rifle. I have a nice leupold I forget the type on it. But I'm sooooooo scared to drop it. I'm sure an acog would do just fine.

Got it. ACOGs are pretty durable, I've got a TA-01 on one of my ARs that I've been using since my second tour (Thank YOU, Mr. Supply Guy who was too busy to put it on the company books or add it to my H/R.
On a side bar, Berger is making some really good bullets for 300 Win Mag with an improved BC so you can take advantage of all that power.
