MK 23. Sounds typical German. Amazing thing about the SP2022 is it is lighter than my 3 inch barrel 45ACP by 5 oz. So it is not a load to carry on my hip.
No, the MK23 is what you get when you let SEALs design a pistol. The thing weighed a ton and when you mounted a supressor to it, it was nigh on un-aimable. Let me put it this way - when you fired it, chances were your rounds would be hitting low.
Here's my Kimber TLE RL II, a perfect gun for late-night social situations

I tried...I really TRIED to get on the Glock bandwagon. I think they're simple and very well made, and offered at a good price. For my friends wanting to get into shooting, I recommend them whole-heartedly (Along with the SW M&P series.) But I hate the trigger - always have and I probably always will. I sold my last Glock in order to get this little gem

Springfield Armory LW Operator Champion. So far, I've got about 500 error-free, trouble free rounds through it.
This one followed me home from the PX recently:

Sig P226 Mk25. I've only got about 300 rounds down the pipe in this one, so I'm still sorta breaking it in. Sweet shooting piece, though.
In a semiauto, I love my 45 Kimber with the crimson trace laser site grips. I just love the beauty and feel of a 1911. But a couple years ago I found you could get used Ruger p97's in 45 acp for about $300. So I bought a couple. They are kind of heavy and not that pretty, but they shoot very well and I think they are easier to field strip than my Kimber. And at that price , I don't feel the need to baby them, so they get far more abuse than my $1,000 Kimber and are holding up quite well. For a knock around extra gun to throw in a backpack, or keep in the barn to take out the occasional pesky skunk, they work well.
