This Army grunt gives a high ranking to the equipment.
If it was good for him it will sure as hell be good for hog hunting.
That is how I ended up with the set, reading reviews from the guys using them in harms way. I've never had a chance to use the IR filter yet but if it can do half what it does with the other filters it should work fine at a 100 yards. I can use my scope at night with the red filter on up to right about 100 yards and see well enough to know if it is a dog or a coyote. On the downside, you need to buy batteries by the case, they are not kidding when they give 20 minutes run time on the stronger bulb. I noticed if I bought cheaper batteries they would only make 15 minutes or so. The tape switch is a big help in conserving batteries compared to to using the end cap switch. I've never hog hunted, we keep them all in buildings here, but I have no doubt your going to have a hog killing machine!
