I am a little leery of adding my name to a form letter. I will write my Senators and Congressman about this on my own though.

There is a site called DownsizeDC.org , they have a system that lets you send the same email to all your reps with a click or take the time to personalize one, sort of like spamming them B)
The hard mail makes a difference as well but I think they all use email and social media to form their opinions now on these last minute bills. Damn senate is running it through without even a committee vote, you know it's flawed for sure.

Congress is saying and using the old argument "its not fair". I do not care if its fair or not, its capitalism not socialism and socialism is not fair either...

I write letters to my reps. Allow me to provide some tips:

SHORTER the better if you want it read. It will NEVER be read if its over one page, NEVER, If its a page you may get the first para read, you will have to win big in the para for them to go further.

Here is how it worksL Ya, pile here, Na pile there. Can't figure it out, another pile. They will count the piles

How to write:

Para 1: Opening sentence tell them where you stand and what you want them to do.

Para 2: Discuss why you want what you said in para 1

Para 3: Restate para 1

Suggest you use this in ALL your writing...

Here is what I got just a few moments after I hit send on the link:

"Thank you for contacting the Office of Senator Ted Cruz. We are proud to represent the Lone Star State and appreciate hearing from you.

Your request will be processed as quickly as possible, but should you require more immediate assistance, please feel free to call either our office in Austin, TX, (512) 916-5834 or Washington, D.C., (202) 224-5922."

It WORKS!
