A lot of people may have different opinions about this one, I salute the young man for his service, and personally the loss and injury of Americas best is the thing I disliked most about this war. And that is all I am going to say for now. :usa:

That is all I am going to say about it here.
X2 -agree:
He is being used as a pawn and is most likely surrounded by a bunch that are feeding him the standard bag o lies. And that in my eyes lets him off the hook. I feel for the guy, state of deep depression and a bunch of folks pushing him on to blame someone and blame the Republicans for his problems in life. His letter is laced with liberal propaganda and lies. I note he says nothing about Obama war machine.
Finally I don't think he wrote this letter, it was written for him...
I think every vet out there knows , we where not conscripts. For what ever reason we joined, we where adults no one forced us into it. When your on a plane headed overseas you don't care what your fighting for. I think in his depression he has forgot some of this. I wish him peace.
Having never served but known closely and supported those who have there are stories like this that are gut wrenching for me but in the end I have more stories from those whom I am friends with and know personally that are far more triumphant.
One of my best friends, a 101st Airborne Captain, was deep in combat in Iraq, mortared every night, hit by IEDs on several occassions, and has never expressed anything like this.
In fact, the complete opposite is true, he told me about the kids who cheered them as they searched house to house, living 10-15 kids in a home with only carpet scraps for a bed and raised by aunts, uncles, and grandparents because Saddam had killed and or imprisoned their parents. When it comes to anything posted on a political site. If the site is not equally balanced with content I definitely do not believe it.
Also, knowing what I know about websites, you really can't truly believe anything you read on the internet but this letter surely does make you think hard.
I gotta say I am impressed by the demeanor of all the vets on this page. You gentlemen have your act together. No matter what your opinion, it is evident you all have compassion for your brothers in arms who are suffering. :usa:
