It looks like many of my favorite magazines and television programs are doomed...

Have we gone so far into socialism that the overwhelming demand for this pro-gun media will not matter. I would be optimistic and say it looks like the end of one investment bankers career and lots of opportunity for those with a following.
Who will keep investing with a guy who makes decisions like this?

While Obammy shouts about corruption and millionaires when in fact he is one, has surrounded himself with them and they all have 2 common traits, rich and extreme liberal.

The first thing is I personally am stunned that we are having to defend our 2nd Amendment rights. If you had asked earlier in life that I would have to defend the 2nd I would have told you that you were crazy. The Constitution is sacrosanct but not only are we having to defend it but its being violated on a daily basis.

As I write OpEds for a couple of papers I am always researching for my editorials. If you think the 2nd is under assault the 1st Amend is all but gone and free speech is fast becoming a passing memory.

Obama intends on gutting the Bill of Rights and he is doing a fine job...

I agree with 13Fox, but bear in mind our capitalist based country is fading fast. The EPA, DHS, and other govt agencies are spewing out regulations in the hundreds of single day, about 2000 per month. The days of starting a business are all but gone in many states that are run by liberals, we are fighting it here in Texas but the Feds and their crushing regs are even stopping work or major projects across the state. Endless studies that are costing in the millions for business.

The Constitution is a piece of paper; incapable of protecting itself. We The People were entrusted with ensuring its protections, and we failed miserably. What we are witnessing today is the result of over one hundreds years of neglect on the part of We The People.

We have a populace so uneducated in government and civics that it's downright disturbing. Ask anyone you know to cite the five rights protected under the 1st Amendment and chances are you'll get the RCA dog look. Ask anyone you know why the 17th Amendment was a really bad idea and chances are you'll get that deer in the headlights look.

Then we have the entitlement society who has made receiving entitlements an occupation. What are the chances of getting them to support the ideals of the founders and our constitutional republic?

People who believe in this nation and our constitution are under assault from multiple fronts. An assault by all indications were are currently losing.

As someone who has unfortunately been reduced to depending on this entitlement society I've gained a little insight. A botched surgery took nearly 9 months to "recover" from and then I was left considerably degraded in physical ability. Thinking of the nearly $100 a week social security took out of my check to cover such cases I applied for help. I went two routes at the same time with the primary goal of fining a job I can do. The state vocational rehab agency said I was too disabled to return to work so they would not help with this goal. At the same time the SS disability office, another state run agency, said I was not disabled enough to get disability. For four years I got zero help, spent my savings to live and kept trying to work. When they did decide I was eligible for SS disability it automatically qualified me for help from the Vocational rehab agency. During that four years the government spent over $150,000 on the case, lawyers, studies on me, and Doctor evaluations took most and this is just what I could fix a price on, it doesn't count what the actual state employee gets paid.
I just finished getting an AA at the local community college at a cost of about $5,000 to me with about $2,200 coming from government help. They desperately wanted me to borrow the money, even making the loan application part of the requirements of the program. Now the stated goal of this rehab agency is to get me back to work, the first meeting after finishing school they spent 20% of the time talking about resumes and cover letters with the rest dedicated to informing me how I can work and still stay on disability............and now they taunt me with job leads for laborers......They laugh when I explain how the "safety net" has become a net meant to ensnare people. :soapbox: I'll get off my box and apologize for hijacking the thread now.
